Our Library
The Tipton Carnegie Public Library was established in 1903 and is still thriving today. The library has on display 17 original Grant Wood lithographs, along with works by Marvin Cone and local artist Polly Kemp. The Soldiers Monument honoring Cedar County residents who have given their lives serving our country in times of conflict adorns the front lawn of the library grounds.
The mission of the Tipton Public Library is to provide a complete spectrum of information to the community through a variety of materials, appropriate technology and a well-trained staff. The Library Board of Trustees has a strong commitment to supply the materials and services needed by its community and to meet the foregoing mission of the Library on a free and continuing basis.

The Tipton Public Library will provide all the people of its community a welcoming place, where access to a balanced collection, technology, programming and other resources will serve their educational, cultural and recreational needs.
